If you love waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread, this recipe is for you. You only need to mix three basic ingredients at night, let it rest while you sleep, and in the morning, you’ll bake the softest, fluffiest bread ever — with no kneading, no mixer, and no effort!

Ingredients

  1. 2¼ cups warm water (use your Pyrex measuring jug)
  2. ½ tsp instant yeast
  3. 1½ tsp salt
  4. 3½ cups all-purpose flour

Directions

  1. In a Pyrex mixing bowl, add warm water, salt, and yeast. Stir well.
  2. Add the flour and mix until a soft dough forms. Don’t worry if it’s a bit sticky — that’s perfect!
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel and let it rest overnight (8–12 hours) at room temperature.
  4. In the morning, dust your counter with flour and gently transfer the risen dough onto it.
  5. Sprinkle more flour and fold the dough lightly to form a smooth ball.
  6. Place the dough on a sheet of butter paper inside your Pyrex baking dish.
  7. Cover again and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (425°F) for 25 minutes covered, then uncover and bake for 10 more minutes until golden brown.

The result is incredibly soft, airy bread — perfect with butter, cheese, or jam for breakfast!
