Ingredients
2 large onions, caramelized
150 g minced sausage
1 cup cooking cream
1½ cups milk
150 g shredded cheese
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
Directions
In a Pyrex granite pan, sauté the onions until caramelized, then add the sausage and cook together until browned and fragrant.
In a bowl, mix together the cooking cream, milk, shredded cheese, oregano, black pepper, salt, and minced garlic.
Add the sausage and onion mixture into the bowl and mix lightly.
Slice the potatoes into thin rounds and layer them in a Pyrex baking dish.
Pour the creamy sausage mixture over the potatoes and spread evenly.
Sprinkle some extra shredded cheese on top.
Bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
